Updating My POLY LIFE!!!

Everything started since the start of Freshmen Orientation Camp in March 2014 when I signed up for 2 camps:  Business Club (SB) & Community Service and Cultural Club (CSCC).

The Business Club Camp was a 3 Days 2 Nights Camp. I met quite a few new friends and seniors. And started off the camp by being in a group called "Wildfire One". There was about 10-18 people in this group. Some activities that we did: Running Man outside of Singapore Polytechnic, Watch a Horror Movie before being the last group to go for the night walk in Singapore Polytechnic with seniors acting as horrifying ghosts and other supernatural stuff. The make up was awesome which made the night walk even more interesting. We also played some icebreaker games, learnt one interesting dance from the seniors, sing some cheers (even though it was all quite vulgar -.-), slept for a few hours only and ate Nasi Lemak as one of the meals provided.

The second camp was the Community Service and Cultural Club (CSCC) 4 Days 3 Nights. Over there, I also met another group of friends taking various diploma courses in Singapore Polytechnic. And started off the camp by being in a group called "ATHENA", one of the Greek Gods in ancient Greek history. The goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, justice, strategic warfare, strength and mathematics. We had to create our own flag using the black cloth and paint. It was our first teamwork activity. The camp activities were interesting but also kind of frustrating and boring. As they blindfolded the campers, made them walk for hours, and nothing special happened before, during and after that. So it was frustrating, tiring and I had no memories for it due to the blindfold. But after the camp, we became closer. We had ATHENA family outings with our facilitators, whom we address as "Mummy" and "Daddy" even though they are only 1 to 2 years older than us. Our friendship is still growing strong and I hope that I can become even closer with them.

After these 2 camps, it was the start of the term, Year 1 Semester 1 2014/2015 for me. I was in Class DBA/FT/1A/02. There was quite an equal number of boys and girls in my class compared to the other classes in DBA cohort. DBA stands for Diploma in Business Administration. Its entry score to get in was 12 points. I made it in through Joint Polytechnic Special Admission Exercise [JPSAE] and had a 'O' Level score of 12 points after deducting my 2 CCA points for L1R4. L1R4 is for Polytechnic Admission while L1R5 is for Junior College Admission (JC).
