Its been a really long time since I wrote a blogpost about my life. Continuing the passion of documenting my life. I will summarise some of the important events that happen for the past few years (2019-2025).
While studying at the local university, I managed to achieve my goal of working with different groups of people for different modules. Although there were some conflicts with group members due to conflicting personalities and work styles, where I had to complete some project assignments with 80% personal contribution. I broke out of my comfort zone for modules that I am not good at, where I had no one to help me except myself. I remember going to the school library, borrowing textbooks, reading all the necessary information that helped me understand the module better. It turns out that by doing so, I was able to understand the project assignment at the back of my hand and present more confidently. It was the best question and answer session I ever had after the presentation as no one was able to answer those questions except me. Why you might ask? Its because I was handling the report analysis alone.
Around university year 2 and 3, I changed my status from "single" to "in a relationship". After graduating, I was worried that I would not be able to get a full-time job. But with luck and effort, I managed to get two job offers at similar timings. One from the public sector, another one from the private sector. After considering the pros and cons of both jobs, I chose to work at the private tech sector.
My job includes great medical benefits, learning opportunities and a conducive work culture. I enjoy my job role and scope where I was able to work shift hours to earn additional shift allowances. Due to my high productivity and effort, I was always in the list of top performers. During the first two years, I enrolled in an online mba and completed the course while working. In the next year, I continued to complete an ai fundamentals executive certificate. With company layoffs going on and internal restructuring, I managed to keep my full-time job based on my performance where I begin working on projects in relation to ai. During this period, I traveled to Malaysia and Australia gold coast for leisure purposes with my friends. Also, I had the opportunity to be a school representative to speak at a conference held at singapore expo. I was really nervous but I managed to complete my public speaking presentation successfully in front of a huge audience of working professionals.
That's all I did during these few years. Nothing much but good to journal it down~~
